Diamond Nicole Miller was a 2013 graduate of Grace Brethren Christian School in Clinton, Maryland. Diamond is a rising sophomore at Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
In high school Diamond was a cheerleader, a member of the Drama Club and Track Manager while sporting a 3.13 GPA before the end of the school year. Her first year at Fayetteville State University yielded the proud accomplishments of Freshman Honor Society and Chancellor’s Academic Club with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Diamond is pursuing a higher education to better her future. She further stated that a college education is a blessing to her entire community because she will be able to secure a higher paying job and thereby enabling her to contribute to her church and her former high school, Grace Brethren Christian School, that received no assistance from the government. She can give back by assisting these young people with tuition so that they can avoid accumulating school debt from loans and also the elders who may be less fortunate than most citizens. In the end a
college education will help everyone become more diverse and innovative and anxious to help others get a post-secondary education and experience a better life.
The Guidance Counselor at her high school described Diamond thusly: charismatic, softspoken, organized, professional, efficient, friendly and determined. She made positive personal choices and stayed grounded in her faith. Diamond has established herself as a strong academic presence, having been on the honor roll her entire high school tenure. She received an award for excellence in Chemistry. Teachers loved having her in their classes because she stayed on task, respected authority and was not afraid to seek help when necessary. In
addition to her academic proficiency, she participated in various activities on and off campus.
She was both an office aide and teacher’s aide, assisting with organizing and handling papers. Her ability to stay organized and on task was a blessing and a major benefit to her superiors. It was predicted that Diamond would be a splendid representative for the campus of her choice. She has demonstrated excellent study skills, good writing skills and strong communication skills. That prediction is now a reality. She has a glowing report from Fayetteville State University. She has adjusted well to college life and no doubt will continue to be a steadfast “Bronco”.
