In 2011, we launched a program called, “Fill-This-Bus with School Supplies” for families in underserved communities. At the time, it was clear that many parents lacked funds to purchase new back-to-school supplies for their youngsters. Not wanting to sit idly by, SHSAA members stood up and met the challenge to assist these children and their parents. The first year, we disseminated nearly 230 backpacks to needy students in grades K-12. Each year thereafter, we have distributed over 250 backpacks stuffed with grade-specific school supplies.

Prior to COVID, donated School supplies were collected in person at our annual SHSAA Reunion.  Now, we strongly encourage monetary gifts instead.  You may make your tax-deductible donation online:
