Local $6,000 Need-Based Scholarship Recipient

Timaya Thompson is the recipient of the Sampson High School Alumni Association Local Scholarship of $6,000. She is a 2020 graduate of Clinton High School, Clinton, North Carolina. Tiffany’s chosen career field is nursing. She moved into her new home on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro last weekend.

Timaya was described as focused, responsive, hardworking and studious with excellent communication skills. She also assisted other students with challenging assignments. She is passionate with the ambition to succeed. She was in the CTE Honor Society, a Cheerleader, History Club.

Timays states that a college education fosters higher job satisfaction with long-term financial gain, better employment benefits and more advancement opportunities with job security.
